I continue to be impressed with the rooms from this company! My husband and I played Grandma's Masterplan. I was feeling pretty cocky and thought "75 minutes with just 2 people? No problem!" I was wrong! This is definitely NOT an easy room for 2 people, even ones who have played nearly 50 escape rooms. There are a lot of puzzles, with the majority of them being unique puzzles I haven't seen before. There were definitely a few (one in particular) that had me stumped. I think this puzzle could use a little revision since the game master mentioned that most teams are tripped up by this puzzle. But that is really my only complaint about this room.

What set this experience apart was the guest service we received from the game master. I didn't catch his name, but he was awesome! We were the last booking of the night, and he let us stay until we were done. Needless to say, we finished nowhere near the 75 minute limit.

Overall, I definitely recommend this room!

This is by far the BEST escape room company I've ever tried-my 4th venture thus far and my first in L.A. (San Diego and Las Vegas being the other locations). The room was intricate and challenging. And the staff was super cool and helpful. I hope 60OUT comes to San Diego soon!

Did all three of the rooms at this location and loved it. 60out is a top-quality company! My partner and I are very impressed with the rooms here and are excited to try out their Dracula and Alice in Wonderland rooms that will open in the near future. This location is along Melrose near La Brea in an upstairs suite, with metered parking or a paid parking lot nearby.

General observations about the company: they're a very tech-heavy company. Very few traditional lock-key puzzles, lots of wiring and magnets involved. Staff are very knowledgeable on how the tech works and how to circumvent it if it does not work. Rather than giving you a walkie-talkie like at other escape rooms, they watch you closely and talk to you directly in the room. It saves the hassle of someone carrying things around. When you are done with the room they will take a photo of you with their own camera and send it to you, along with your time (if you got out).

The Hangover
We had some minor tech hiccups in this room, but our game master was able to fix things for us quickly. We had to do something physical in this room that we've never done before, which was super cool! It's a pretty tech-heavy room and uses almost all your senses. I don't think there were any traditional lock-key puzzles (though I could be wrong). The end is incredibly clever!

Ghost Ship
LOVE the beginning of this room because it's definitely a different experience from other rooms. Lots of interesting puzzles involving props that look fairly innocuous. My partner and I did it by ourselves and had a great time (and got out), but struggled a bit just because there were only two bodies to use; I think others would benefit from having a larger group for this room because there's a fair amount of stuff going on.

Grandma's Master Plan
This is in my top five rooms. It is a 75-minute room because there is quite a lot to do. Unless you are a seasoned vet of escape rooms, this is a room you need a bigger group for, for sure, because there's just way too much stuff to do for two people. I went with a group of five and had an excellent time. The items you find might not be useful right when you find them but everything has a place in the story, I promise! They put a lot of thought into the storyline and the room definitely corresponds with the narrative they give. I found myself thinking, "Granny is such a hoot!" The end of this room is really fun.

Both times that I went (I did the first two with my partner on the same day; last one with a group) our game master was Cytarah. She was excellent at monitoring our progress and was very helpful when we were unsure how exactly to execute the tech. We thought that we were missing a key and she paused our time to send someone to help us. She also addressed us as "Grandchildren" in Grandma's Master Plan, which was adorable.

Highly recommend this company's rooms: innovative puzzles, beautiful set design, and great game masters. See you soon, 60out!
